The way in which we see the world is based on our understanding of ourselves.  We do not see the world as it is rather, we see the world as we see ourselves.

“Money is hard to come by.” – “Men, all the good ones are either taken or gay.” – “All women are b#%ches.” – “You have to step on everyone to be successful.” – “I’ll never make it!”

These are a few of the more common “perceptions” of the world that I hear on a pretty consistent basis.  But these “perceptions” are not perceptions at all.  What they really are are learned statements  that are more often than not given to us by the people that we love the most.  Let me tell you something….

They were wrong! (Unless you choose to believe them.)

The great Henry Ford once said, “If you think you can or you think you can’t, either way you are right!”

What you focus on comes to be.  When you put your attention into how difficult things are, inevitably you will (subconsciously) make certain that everything that you encounter is difficult.

Beliefs are merely pre-programmed thoughts founded in faith.  Whatever you believe you will do almost anything to prove correct.  The primary difference between the people who are living the life that you dream of and yourself is that their beliefs are more empowering or successful in the areas that you are looking at.  The best things about beliefs is that they are just like any of your thoughts and opinions and can be changed quite easily when you know how to do it.

Napoleon Hill taught about how all repetitive actions are actually governed by six basic human requirements;

1. Certainty

2. Uncertainty

3. Significance

4. Love/Connection

5. Growth

6.Contribution

Everything that you do, believe or think is stemmed from these primary requirements.

To alter your beliefs in any given area all that is required to attach a stronger feeling and emotion to new belief by committing the six basic requirements to it and then falling in love the new result.  The shifting, changing and replacing of paradigms is only thing that is getting in your way.  It is by getting out of your own way that you enable your true potential to shine through into existence.
