It can often seem quite challenging when you focus on doing things the “right way.”  So many times throughout each year, month, week, day, hour, minute or even each and every second of the day it can seem like the world and all of its inhabitants are against us.  Things go wrong, clients cancel their appointments (or are just not there) and people seem to do everything in their power to hinder or even halt whatever it is that we are trying to do.

The real challenge is in staying committed and focused on the desired outcome regardless of the obstacles that present.  I once heard an amazing quote, although I can’t recall from whom.  It went something like this, “The successful person is able to build success from the rocks and stones that others throw at them.”

Most people believe that they fear failure.  I have come to learn that for only a select few this actually rings true.  For most people failure is something that they are “experts” at.  It is something they have done their whole lives.  It is not really failure that they fear, rather is is open judgment of their failure or moreso, on many occasions, it is actually success that they fear the most.  For with success they fear that their goals will be attained and then what??  Sometimes the achievement of success brings with it the pressure of continue to upkeep the success also.  (What a stress!!)

I popped in on one of my clients the other day only a few days prior to the launch of her fashion label.  I gave her a hug when I greeted her and could feel the fear exuding from her.  She told me that she was so worried that she could hardly sleep.  I explained to her about how excited I was about the upcoming launch of her label and the fact that neurologically there is nearly no difference between fear and excitement.  I then ran through a check list with her ensuring everything was on track and thus all was organised.  I then watched the fear melt away rapidly as she went through all of the things that had been done and all of the preparations of the impending event.  She replaced her fear with excitement and beamed at me about the project.

As I sit (originally) to write this I had just gotten off of the telephone with her.  She called me in absolute gratitude for all that we had done together (she had recently completed the Finding Zero course with me).  Her intention is and always has been to build an amazing business in the fashion industry and in turn create massive positive change in the world.  Many bumps and scrapes have been incurred along the way, and many more will undoubtedly present as time goes on.  At times it may well seem that an ‘easier’ path may present, corners could be cut and so on and so forth.  However, when corners are cut often profits get cut also.  The shorter path is not always the easiest path, the “hard yards” are where the stripes are earned.

I’m not suggesting for a moment that “hard work” is required, nor am I inferring that you will always have a difficult time if you are conducting yourself from a space of positive intention.  What I am putting forward is that quite often when we are committed to doing the “right thing” for others we do so to the detriment of ourselves.

One of the greatest minds on the mind, Charles Haanel once stated that, “The absolute truth is that the ‘I’ is perfect and complete; the real ‘I’ is spiritual and can therefore never be less than perfect; it can never have any lack, limitation, or disease.”  Therefore to look after other you must first clearly be looking after yourself first.

The great Robert Kyosaki once told me that the only way to stop poverty in others is to not join the que.  How is it possible to help others if you are unable to help yourself?  There is an old saying, “Charity starts at home.” Kind of makes you think yeah?

Many of my clients have this insane notion that if they make heaps and heaps of money that that somehow makes them a bad person, or that people will look at them in a negative way.  Let’s get one thing really clear…

Making a great deal of money out of doing something that you love, that truly benefits others is not only honourable, it is something that you both deserve and should demand.

There is enough stuff in this world for all of us to have three times of everything that we want.  Having it and living life to the full is more than just our right.  IT IS OUR OBLIGATION!

You can do anything!  You don’t have to hinder others or hurt others in any way to achieve your goals.  With a distinct focus on doing the right thing by your clients or prospects you will build a business and client base that will value both your company and yourself at the same time.

Remember, it can take a lifetime to build an outstanding reputation and but an instant to turn it into a negative one.

Here is to your integrity!!

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, When 24 hours in a day is not enough; remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and start to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured it into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded With an unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. ‘Now,’ said the professor, as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things – Beliefs, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions, the things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else — The small stuff. ‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So… Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the dripping tap. ‘Take care of the golf balls first — The things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.’

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. ‘I’m glad you asked’. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.’ Please share this with other “Golf Balls” I just did……

Inspired Action

The Law of Attraction offers everyone absolute health, wealth, happiness and abundance, in all areas, not just money. Everyone has access to a seemly endless supply of information, resources and coaches, if not for free then certainly at an extremely marginal expense. Now if there is merely just a one percent chance that it can provide even one of any of absolute health, absolute wealth, absolute happiness or absolute abundance is not that one percent chance worth at
least considering?  Furthermore, if it could supply all of it, wouldn’t it be worth having a crack at slam dunking that?
Here’s a formula that I feel best allowed me to get The Law of Attraction working for me in my life.

Thoughts + Feelings + Emotion = Attraction

Let’s try and clarify this a bit. Firstly THINK about something that you really want to attain, whether it be a new car, the perfect job or perfect partner. Now, decide unequivocally that it is yours already and finally do whatever ACTION it is that presents itself to you to attain this goal with an absolute FEELING of conviction. When you do this, no matter
what it is that you seek I believe that you will attain it.  Let me break down the three points a little to try and further clarify the process. With the word thoughts I refer to the clearly thinking about and defining that it is that you seek.

In using the word feelings I am referring to attaching absolute passion to the clear decision that the desired result is
without question that of which you already own but have not taken possession of as yet, attaching a certainty to it.
Finally, let’s look at the word emotion for a moment, – E / MOTION – I would suggest to you that the ‘E’ represents the
word ENERGY followed by the word MOTION. Emotion is the means by which we put our ENERGY in MOTION.  For example, when you are angry or really happy or really sad, your energy levels alter and begin to move either more rapidly or slowly depending on the “emotion” and the intensity of the feeling. Your energy goes into motion because of
your internal feelings. You may choose to put emotion into anything you do, thus you can actually have full control over the type and amount of energy you put in motion in any given situation.  Action must be taken to achieve anything, thus by putting our energy in motion we are taking direct action in regard to attaining that which we have passionately thought about and decided upon. Too often we confuse our feelings with our emotions. Passion is the feeling; the energy that we put into that feeling is the emotion.  It’s quite astounding that when you begin to put your
applied energy into any given task, greater opportunities begin presenting themselves, or how you come up with more and varied ways of accomplishing your task or attaining your goal.

No sooner had I decided that I would be working with the teachers of the Law of Attraction then suddenly they all
started to present themselves to me. Firstly, Bob through Mark Lowe, then I followed up with John Assaraf, Mike Dooley, Bill Harris, Dr Joe Vitale and then finally the only one that was based in Melbourne.  All of these individuals have me on their subscription lists for constant updates on what is going on in not just their businesses but the universe.   By first making the decision (thought) that I would be working with these guys and implementing a ‘don’t take no for an answer’ attitude (feeling) and doing whatever it was that it took to get in touch with each and every one of them (e/motion) there was never a question in either my mind or that of the Collective Intelligence or Universal ‘mind’ whether or not I would obtain my goal. The most substantial proof of this is the fact that I am now working
with the teachers of the Law of Attraction!!
“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and
the thought has found its words.”
-Robert Frost

One of the mistakes that we tend to continually make is that instead of focusing on how things should be, we spend most
of our time paying heed to our current situation. We focus our attention on the amount of money we have, or don’t currently have, how we are meant to be able to pay the bills, how little sleep we get each evening, the fight we had with our partner, (or ourselves) not to mention the multitude of other little things that constantly present.

Clearly all of these thoughts do absolutely nothing for us, other than to put us further and further into a negative state.
This is why, more often than not we find ourselves stuck in the same situation over and over again. Simply put, if you always looked at everything through a piece of red cellophane and someone asked you what colour a particular thing is, you would say red. If someone helped you to remove that piece of cellophane from your view you may actually see things a little differently.
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over
and over again, expecting a different result.”
– Albert Einstein

Let me put it another way. Only a couple of hundred years ago, as I mentioned earlier, the World was flat. It was not
that anyone thought that it was flat; everyone on the planet knew that it was flat.  When Christopher Columbus set sail to the end of the Earth everyone knew that he would fall off of the edge. When he came full circle he didn’t just change people’s minds he changed the shape of the planet. Clearly he didn’t focus on how things are he looked at how things should be.
