My dear friend Larry Hocman is a guy that is truly dedicated to creating change in others. Everything that he teaches he is congruent with and I have a great love of both him and his work. His current work on saying farewell to FEAR is outstanding and I wanted him to share it with you here.
Did you ever decide something…make a real COMMITMENT to it, and right away start to feel better?
You know…feel like your energy is freed up?
Feel likes doors are opening up for you?
Just know everything is going to be fine, even though nothing in your outside world has changed?
Even though you didn’t do anything but just make a choice…and commit to it. Know that feeling?
I do. There have been times in my life where I behaved like a scared rabbit. I ran away from making tough choices….choices that would have kicked me out of my cocoon of discomfort.
And there are times where I stood up and said, “No more holding back. I’m going face that fear/invest that money/have that difficult conversation, etc….
And each time I did that, once the commitment was made, the feeling of well-being was incredible.
Even when nothing else had changed yet.
Here’s the truth: Lately Debbie and I have been noticing people going one way or the other. People spend a lot of time talking about the things they’re afraid of, or unhappy about.
They draw a web of people into their world who will nurse them and baby them and change their diaper…and basically give them permission to stay where they are.
These same people may say the right things about change. They may speak the language of attraction.
But when it comes time to make a COMMITMENT: invest the money, or the effort, or cut off their avenue of retreat, they jump back into the cocoon.
Check back with them in a few months. They’ll still be saying all the right things, or cheering on other people. But they’ll never have the money or the other good stuff that goes with walking the walk.

And then there are others. You don’t usually hear much from them.
COMMITMENT can be a quiet thing. It takes focus, and courage, and being willing to share only with the people who are moving in the same direction as you are.
Like Emily Lampard. She made the COMMITMENT to herself. No more running scared. No more excuses. She decided to make an investment in FAREWELL TO FEAR. The money, the focus, the trust in two people who have already done the thing she wants to do.
And a funny thing happened. She started feeling better right away. Three weeks before the course even started. Excuses peeled away like layers of dead skin. Energy flowed. Things started shifting.
She began asking for more and expecting more. We can feel it all the way from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean!
It’s the exact opposite of our friend with “the missing gall bladder.” God bless him, but he’ll always find a reason/excuse to stay where he is.
Which side of the equation do you want to be on?
It’s why my daily statuses are taking a bit of a harder edge. I’ve got my “game face” on.
I love everyone…really, I do!
But when it’s time to take the people who put their trust and COMMITMENT into our hands, they become the most important people in our universe.
(By the way, Debbie and I haven’t cornered the market on this. There are some other REALLY good people helping you to overcome fear. If you feel good about someone else, work with them!)
I said it this morning. How long do you intend to peep through the knothole in the fence, watching the ones with the COMMITMENT take the giant steps? There’s nothing like the thrill of holding that ticket in your hand and being welcome through those gates to hang with the serious people!
I’m serious. It’s why I went from unhealthy, unhappy and broke to a physical specimen, full of love and grace and full of more money than I’ve ever had before in a short period of time.
And it’s why I have the confidence to say it out loud. I’m not afraid of anyone’s response. Get on the train or get off the tracks!
It’s why Emily’s starting to make that same transition.
How BIG do you want to play? We love you no matter what.
But the strength, money, health and peace go to those with the COMMITMENT to set aside their fear and play BIG!
Your Pal,
Larry
