Bigger Than One Big Family

The word Universe is a conglomeration of two words, Uni = One and Verse = Version.  The word itself tells us that it is through our awareness of it that defines the very existence of what it is that we see before us.  The people that we associate with; work colleagues, friends, family, partners, children etc. etc. are merely presented to us in an ongoing manner based on not merely our decision for them to be present but (more importantly) by our awareness of them.

There is an old Chinese proverb that asks the question, “If a tree falls in the woods and there is no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?”  Based on the understanding that nothing exists or occurs without it first being observed, just asking the question would infer the felling of a tree in the forest.  (oops I’ve gotta stop doing that.)

If you are to consider that we are all part of the one living organism (Multi verse) and are fundamentally all made out of the same “stuff”; energy.  And if you would further consider that, based on the understanding that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, then the existence of all energy is required for the existence of all energy.  Furthermore, that in essence by being just energy by definition we, and all other things are  actually not just part of the same living organism but rather are in actuality the one living organism itself.

It is said that if a butterfly were to flap it’s wings in Hong Kong that it would cause a tidal wave in Mexico.  This is because everything is connected and of the same one living organism.

It is not that we as the human race are just one family and that we are all fundamentally the same.  It is that we are actually one organism entirely, part of each other.

It is of paramount importance that we begin to recognise that any hardship or challenge that we put in front of our fellow is one that inadvertently we are putting in front of ourselves.  Like all living things we are designed to grow.  We are at the top end of the food chain because we have an ability to communicate on a higher level and assist each other in each of our respective growths.  We are one big family - genus humanis (family human), but it bigger than that.  We are one living organism.

Please consider that through the desire of growth in self you may alter another’s life for the better, allowing their growth which will increase your own.  Their growth will stimulate them to expand the growth of another which will enable the other to extend their understanding to another which will allow them to also grow, and so on and so forth.  The ultimate goal is for constant and never ending improvement, which is only attainable through the passing on of knowledge and the stimulation of growth.

Keep in mind that if you were the only “successful” person on the planet and you had no one  to share it with or celebrate it with it probably wouldn’t be much of a success.

Share your knowledge and allow others to grow from it.  It’s bigger than you, it’s bigger than me.  It’s bigger than one big family.
